📅 Application Deadlines

Applications must arrive at IU by the following dates:

• Fall Semester (September – January): 01 May

• Spring Semester (January – June): 01 October

🎓 Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the Student Exchange and Study Abroad Programs at IU, applicants must:

• Have completed at least one year of full-time study at the undergraduate level or one semester at the graduate level

• Hold a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 (or equivalent)

• Commit to a full workload of no less than 14 credits per semester

• Provide a nomination letter from the home institution (required for exchange students)

🌐 English Proficiency

No proof required if:

• You are from an English-speaking country, or

• You study at a tertiary institution where the language of instruction is English.

If proof is required, one of the following must be provided:

• IELTS: minimum overall score 6.0 (no sub-score below 5.5)

• TOEFL iBT: minimum score 61 (no sub-score below 19)

• Unicert 1 (Certified by DAAD)

• CEFR Level B1 or higher

• ISEP’s Language Proficiency Report (accepted for ISEP-Exchange students)

Note: IELTS and TOEFL results are valid for 2 years.

📑 Application Checklist

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:

• Completed Application Form for Inbound Students (clickable link on website)

• Scanned copy of passport (valid for at least 12 months)

• Nomination letter from the home university (required for both IU partners and non-partners)

• Verification of student status (for non-IU partners)

• Official transcript in English

• Proof of English proficiency (if applicable)
