Research in the area of semiconductor technology and scholarships for our students funded by the government in Taiwan, among other things, were the subject of a meeting as part of a foreign mission conducted by the Institute for Information Industry to our university.
The institution, which is affiliated with Taiwan's Ministry of Science, aims to promote effective interaction in the area of the research and economic world. During the meeting held at the Wrocław Tech campus, our university was represented by Prof. Katarzyna Chojnacka, vice-rector for cooperation with the environment, Prof. Kamil Staniec, vice-rector for education, Prof. Rafal Walczak, dean of the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems, and Prof. Waldemar Rebizant, dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Prof. Mariusz Dybkowski, vice-dean for research and cooperation with the environment of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
- The talks concerned the areas of our convergent activities, explains Prof. Katarzyna Chojnacka. - The research we are doing in electromobility or semiconductors overlaps with areas of intense economic development in Taiwan.
In addition, David Chou, also representing the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Han-I Chiang National Taipei University, highlighted the opportunities for our students to reach out for Taiwanese scholarships and to recruit our graduates to companies there.
