T.I.M.E GA 2023

Date: 31.10.2023

The three-day annual T.I.M.E. Genaral Assembly conference, held for the first time at Wroclaw University of Technology, concluded on Friday, Oct. 27. More than 80 scientists and people closely related to international cooperation deliberated on issues of internationalization during workshops and panel sessions, including joint and double diploma programs, ways to promote longer and shorter mobility, a look from different perspectives on increasing the participation of women in engineering education, challenges and approaches in the area of the so-called green transition. The great value of the meeting was, of course, to make many contacts and find future partners for joint international projects.

During GA and summary of the network's activities in 2023, a new composition of the Advisory Group of the T.I.M.E. Association's Board of Directors was also elected. A new member of the Advisory Committee for a six-year term will be a scientist from Wroclaw University of Technology, Grzegorz Lesiuk, Ph.D., Prof. Plenipotentiary of the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for European Cooperation Programs, from the Department of Mechanics, Materials and Biomedical Engineering.

During his presentation, Professor Lesiuk showed the high activity of Wroclaw University of Technology in many international projects, as well as its contribution to internationalization, e.g. through the implementation of the Blended Intensive Courses project or summer schools in cooperation with, among others, universities gathered in the T.I.M.E. network. He also presented his ideas for strengthening cooperation with new, active partners.
The task of the Advisory Committee is, among other things, to set the direction of the network's activities, identify areas important for development, including universities from countries not yet present in the network, but which can contribute to the development of the network with their input.
Other newly elected members of the Advisory Commitee are from Instituto Técnico Lisboa, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Riga Technical University.
