The Polish-American Fulbright Commission now calls for applications under the Fulbright Specialist Program 2025-26. The programme enables Polish universities to invite and establish cooperation with outstanding American specialists and specialists and to jointly implement a project during a visit to Poland (from 14 to 42 days).
Applications with a project description can be submitted on behalf of a university and the project can concern any scientific discipline. Activities during the planned visit of US specialists may include conducting or participating in, among others, lectures, seminars and workshops, symposia, conferences, consultations on curricular work and development of administrative/research staff, performing evaluations and expert reports, or developing research projects.
Fulbright Specialist grantees receive an honorarium and cover the cost of flights to and from Poland. The host institution is obliged to cover the grantees' costs related to accommodation, meals and domestic travel.
Priority is given to projects dedicated to sharing, disseminating and implementing best practices for innovative education. The Commission also encourages Polish institutions to implement projects that aim to support Ukraine and/or refugees from Ukraine.
The ongoing call for proposals accepts applications for visits to Poland planned between 1 September 2025 and 30 September 2026.
To participate in the call, the representative of the host institution is required to submit an electronic application by 9 January 2025. The link to the electronic application system and instructions on how to fill in the application along with a detailed description of the accepted priority for the ongoing call can be found on the website.
