International Nano-Engineering Students Complete Semester in Wrocław

Date: 16.06.2025

Students of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Master's programme in Chemical Nano-Engineering have just completed their semester in Wrocław. The group arrived from Marseille and will soon continue their studies in Rome.

The programme is carried out at the Faculty of Chemistry of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where students take part in advanced courses and research activities.

Their stay in Wrocław concluded with a final poster session as part of the Engineering of Nano-Machines course. The task was to design molecular-scale machines that could contribute to solving global challenges.

Among the projects were concepts for targeted drug delivery systems, biosensors capable of detecting single cancer cells in the bloodstream, mechanisms for combating drug-resistant bacteria, methods for micro- and nanoplastic degradation, and self-healing systems for photovoltaic cells.

The session showcased the students' creativity, interdisciplinary knowledge, and commitment to tackling pressing scientific and environmental problems.

The Programme Administrative Coordinator in Wrocław and teacher of the Engineering of Nanomachines Seminar is DSc. Eng. Elżbieta Zienkiewicz.
