ESN’s team from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology is looking forward to welcoming you to Poland!

Erasmus Student Network is the biggest student organisation in Europe. ESN is created by thousands of the most open-minded, ambitious, and helpful volunteers, offering their services to around 200,000 international students every year with the motto “Students Helping Students”. In ESN we organise many activities from the best parties , and sports events to cultural showcases and social awareness campaigns. Our goal is to make your Erasmus experience the best it can be!

Currently, we are launching the Buddy Programme, which pairs you with a local student who will be your first contact person before and after arrival. Your Buddy can assist you with transportation, accommodation, and provide insight into Polish culture and customs. They will answer your questions regarding your stay in Poland, show you the city, and most importantly - become your first friend during your exchange

WHO IS A BUDDY?

A Buddy is someone who looks after a student who has come to us from another country on a student exchange. Buddy's job is to make life easier for them in their new place and make them feel at home. Buddy can not only pick them up from the train station or airport, but also help them move into their dormitory and answer various questions about Poland and their studies. But most of all, being Buddy is a great opportunity to meet new people, culture and language, and to have fun!

WHY IS IT WORTH TO BECOME A BUDDY?

If you are willing to become a Mentor for a foreign student and perform this role well, you can count on extra points when you apply to study abroad under the Erasmus+ programme. But that's not all! By being part of the programme, you have the chance to make a lot of interesting international contacts and friendships that may even invite you to visit their countries. You can also learn about other people's customs and culture and improve your language skills.
