Exchange of Knowledge and Strengthening Academic Ties – Visit from Indian and Thai Universities to Wrocław University of Science and Technology
The main goals of the visit by delegations from Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK, Thailand) and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT, India) to Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Wrocław Tech) were to exchange experiences in organizing education, research, and industry collaboration, as well as to expand existing academic relationships.
The trilateral cooperation between the institutions began in 2023, when an agreement was signed at Wrocław Tech. During the current visit, representatives met with Rector Professor Arkadiusz Wójs to discuss ways of expanding this partnership.
"At Wrocław University of Science and Technology, we believe in collaboration that enables researchers to innovate, provides students with growth opportunities, and allows institutions to build stronger ties with society and industry," said Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs. "I look forward to continuing joint research projects and academic exchanges between our universities. Today's meeting is a great starting point for these efforts," he added.
So far, the collaboration has included joint master's and PhD programs, academic exchange initiatives (for researchers and students, including visiting professors), and research programs in areas such as automation, production engineering, and information and communication technologies (ICT).
A special part of the visit was a formal recognition presented to RMUTK President Prof. Pichai Janmanee in appreciation of the existing collaboration.
The delegations also met with representatives from six Wrocław Tech faculties to explore opportunities for further collaboration. The networking sessions included the Faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power and Mechanical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

International Conference at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
Delegates from India and Thailand will also take part in the three-day ISPEM 2025 conference (The Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Systems in Production Engineering and Maintenance), which begins Wednesday at Wrocław Tech and is organized by Prof. Anna Burduk.
This prestigious event is aimed at researchers, industry leaders, and experts focusing on cutting-edge solutions in Industry 4.0, production engineering, and maintenance.
Among the speakers will be Prof. M. Anthony Xavior, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at VIT and a world-renowned expert in the field.
The conference program includes keynote sessions from global industry leaders, exhibitions of innovative companies presenting intelligent systems and tools, and an international panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities in industrial development with speakers from Europe and Asia.
Participants will also have the opportunity to visit Wrocław Tech's research laboratories.
