As you might have heard, according to an old Polish custom, we usually leave an extra seat at the Christmas Eve dinner for an unexpected wanderer. Inspired by this tradition, the International Relations Office is organizing The Xmas Guest campaign. The aim of the project is to offer this extra place during the Christmas holidays to a foreign guest.

We all already know, how Polish people are getting ready for Christmas: Christmas tree decorating with family, mulled wine and sausages on Christmas markets, looking for the best Christmas gift, fun with friends… But how exactly do families celebrate Christmas Eve?

In cooperation with the University’s employees, we offer you the opportunity to join a Polish family during one day of the Christmas holidays! Get to know Polish customs and traditions more closely during Christmas dinner, find new friends and just join holidays surrounded by pleasing people.

The Xmas Guest campaign is dedicated to WUST employees and students who want to get to know more about other countries and its traditions, find new friends and have a nice time during the Christmas holidays from December 24th to 26th, 2022. Even one day spent in a new environment may become an amazing experience.
Even if you speak Polish only, you can still participate in the campaign.
